2024 Board of Directors

Amanda Sturgeon | President

Amanda’s involvement in WAG began in 2014 when one of her son’s auditioned for a play, and the theatre passion took hold.  In her tenure at WAG, Amanda began as a parent volunteer and joined the board in 2016.  She is currently serving as Board Secretary and Marketing Committee Chairperson. Amanda has also filled several production team roles, such as production manager, house manager, and show choreographer.  Amanda and her husband, Jason, live in Wylie with their three children and two dogs.  The entire Sturgeon family (except the dogs) have been active WAG participants for several years and look forward to another epic season!

Tiffany Harrod | Creative Director

Tiffany began her tenure at Wylie Acting Group in the 2011 Season the same way as everyone else, as a parent.  As the current Creative Director for WAG, Tiffany works with the board to set the vision for the season of shows and special events each year.  She develops the media and production materials for shows and the organization, including the programs and the corporate and accolade ads.  Additionally, she directs a show each season.  In 2016 she directed her first play A Night at the Wax Museum alongside Melissa Harbison.  In 2017 she directed her first musical Miss Nelson is Missing the Musical with WAG President Nancy Whitney.  Tiffany was the President of Wylie Acting Group for Children in 2014 and 2015.  Tiffany lives in Murphy with her talented family who love the arts – husband Carson, son Tanner, and daughter Savannah who are all actively involved with WAG.

Amy Frigoli | Treasurer

Amy Frigoli has been a part of WAG since one of her daughters performed in Best Christmas Pageant Ever in 2019.  Since that time, she has served as a Props Mistress, Set Designer and wherever else a hand was needed.  She even fulfilled a bucket list item and performed on stage herself as an Ancestor in Addams Family in 2021.  While being a wife and mother to 4 beautiful daughters is her favorite job, she also serves as a Principal Engagement Manager at Workday, Inc.  She is happy to put her theatre and organizational background to use on the board and help to empower the next generations of Actors in the Wylie area.

Barbara Holder | Marketing Chair

Hi! I’m Barb Holder. I’ve been part of the WAG family since 2018 when my son Erick auditioned for his first show ever “A Seussical Christmas Carol” and the rest is history. I’ve volunteered to be green room manager for almost all the shows he’s been in and I even created the short films in “Singing in the Rain”. I’ve also participated in 5 adult-cast shows at WAG and what else can I say? I love the sense of community and friendship in this theatre. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Board and can’t wait to keep sharing joy to our community in a more official way.

Melissa Johnson | General Board Member

Melissa became involved with WAG in 2022 when her eldest daughter auditioned for Seussical Jr. This show led to another show, and another, and now WAG has become a huge part of her family’s life. Melissa started as a parent volunteer, working behind the scenes in the green room, assisting with set painting and participating in fundraising activities. In 2023, she stepped out of her comfort zone and onto the stage by performing in Schoolhouse Rock Live. Her husband Aaron is also actively involved with WAG and has created numerous props for shows, in addition to assisting in the sound booth. Melissa and her husband live in Wylie with their daughters Campbell and Gentry. Melissa is proud of Wylie Acting Group’s mission to make theatre accessible to all children in the community. She is excited to be on the board and looks forward to sharing the WAG story with new families!

Jonna Nichols | General Board Member

Hi! My name is Jonna Nichols. I was born and raised in Garland, Tx. I am the Mom to Jayden, Cori and have an adult son Nolan. I have been in the medical field for over 30 years and in my spare time I love to be in my bed binge watching Netflix documentaries. ( kidding, not kidding!) I got involved with WAG after Jayden auditioned for A Christmas Story last year, and we never left. I love so much how this organization had done so much for not only Jayden but also his sister Cori! I look forward spending many days and years helping kids enjoy theater, develop self worth and follow their dreams!

Jeremy Webster | WAG Board of Directors

Jeremy Webster | General Board Member

Hi, Jeremy Webster here. I came into this world with a hammer in one hand and a drill in the other. I love to build things with my hands. I have my own business, Webster’s Fabrication. My biggest passions are God, my family and learning something new every day.  My daughter has brought me into this theater world and I am also a leader in Scouts BSA.  I’m glad to be on the board and continue to learn about theater and to help out in any way I can.
